My Approach
My Approach to Therapy
ADHD is not a character flaw. It's a regulation system that needs structure, and the right structure changes everything.
My work blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a collaborative, person-centered style. That means we don't just talk. We build. Sessions are active, strategic, and focused on helping you function better in your actual life.
In our first session, we clarify what's not working: where follow-through breaks down, where emotions escalate, where relationships get strained, and where you feel capable and where you don't. From there, we build systems that fit your brain.
Not generic productivity hacks. Not one-size-fits-all planners. Not "just try harder." The strategies that actually stick are the ones designed around your nervous system, your environment, and your energy patterns. My role is to help you understand how your brain works, then create tools that reduce chaos instead of adding to it.
My style is direct, grounded, and collaborative. There's humor when it helps, structure when it's needed, and space for the real frustrations that come with ADHD. Different isn't broken. But unmanaged ADHD is exhausting. Let's make it manageable.

My Story
Why I Do This Work
By age 12, children with ADHD are estimated to receive 20,000 more negative or corrective messages than their neurotypical peers. Some researchers put that number even earlier, by age 10. That's five to nine extra critical comments every single day: "Why can't you just focus?" "You're bright but you don't apply yourself." "You're not living up to your potential."
I work primarily with children and families because I want to interrupt that cycle early, before frustration hardens into shame. When kids understand how their brain works, everything changes. When parents understand how regulation actually develops, power struggles soften.
But many of the adults I work with were once that kid. They grew up absorbing those 20,000 messages, and even decades later, high-functioning and capable as they are, they're still carrying the weight of it. The self-doubt. The feeling of never quite measuring up. That's just as worth addressing as anything else we work on.
Whether you're raising a child with ADHD or navigating it yourself, this work is about building real competence without shame. I offer therapy in New York and coaching across the US, so wherever you are on that journey, there's a way to work together.
